                 Pre-Care

Instructional Guidelines to follow at LEAST two weeks prior to your tattoo appointment. (also in everyday life)

  • Take care of your body! Especially the are you will be getting your tattoo.

  • Eat Yo Veggies!

  • Drink plenty of H2O!

  • Moisturize daily (hydrated and moisturized skin is the key to fabulous healing!)

  • Exfoliate once a week. (Pre-Care! NOT Aftercare)

  • Exfoliate once a week. (Pre-Care! NOT Aftercare)

  • Avoid drinking excessive amounts of alcohol at least 24 hours prior to tattoo appointment.

  • PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! Shower prior to your tattoo appointment if you love your tattoo artist!

  • Wear appropriate clothing for the area getting tattooed. (shorts if on your legs, zip up hoodie for back tattoos, do not wear any tight clothes that can leave lines or indents at least 4 hours before tattoo appointment, do not wear favourite clothes because we can sometimes be a bit messy! Etc.)

  • Do not shave places you don’t normally shave prior to appointment. (We are experienced shavers! However, a trim is always appreciated for you hairy mofos.)

After Care
  • After 24 - 48 hours, remove the bandage and gently wash with warm water and clean hands

  • DO NOT RE BANDAGE

  • Apply a thing layer of ointment 3x a day for 2 weeks or until skin is smooth

  • Stay out of the sun until tattoo is healed, usually 7 - 10 days 

  • Do not soak tattoo in water while your new tattoo is healing. Showers are fine.

  • Do not pick or rub the treated area while it is healing. Loss of colour or infection could occur

  • Your tattoo should heal in approx 2 weeks

  • Drink lots of H2O!

  • Don’t go binge drinking alcoholic beverages.

  • Wash your hands often! Especially for smokers and people who work with the public. Proper hygiene is SO important when applying your aftercare.

  • Keep your tattoo clean and moisturized for quick and smooth healing.
